I'm Samuel Vansteenkiste, a cinematographer based in Belgium — though "professional light-chaser" might be the more honest job title.
 

I've been fascinated by the magic of telling stories through moving images for as long as I can remember, and that fascination slowly turned into a habit: shooting short films, music videos and commercials, and falling a little more in love each time with everything a single frame can hold. I'm also a rising member of the SBC, which keeps me close to a community that pushes me to keep growing in the craft.

What I love most is finding the visual voice of a story — getting close with actors, working handheld and organic when a scene calls for intimacy, or going fully technical when it doesn't (robotic arms and tabletop precision included). Different tools, same instinct underneath: serve the story, put the emotion where it belongs.
